TPRS
(Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) uses storytelling and re-telling, questions and answers in Spanish, repetition of language, and pictures to prompt responses. In short - it encourages you to speak! It aids proficiency and communicativeness by introducing language through a story format. We learn the language separately, discuss the grammar and why it works the way it does, take turns to read and listen to the story, then students answer questions about the story ranging from yes/no to giving their opinion or sharing memories, depending on their skill level. Repetition builds familiarity and confidence. We build on conversational skills and confidence.
I run weekly classes for Adults in term time using the TPRS method. The new timetable is below. Please contact me if you are interested in joining any of the groups. They are all small, friendly groups, we focus on conversation skills, there is no need to book for a term, simply pay as you go and if you have to miss a class I can send you a recording as they are all on Zoom. It's the ultimate in flexibility and interactivity, combined!
